Night Encounters

Intimate wildlife moments after dark in the Malaysian rainforest.

Night changes the terms of attention.

In darkness, movement slows and awareness sharpens. These encounters took place after sunset, when insects, reptiles, and mammals emerge briefly into light — not as spectacle, but as presence.

Each image is a moment of shared awareness: eyes reflecting, bodies held still, a quiet exchange before the forest closes again.

All photographs were made in natural habitats in Malaysia.
